The original high quality, high tech, and very bright caving lamp, but now rated to -150m. Each unit is individually tested to depth before being released for sale. Maximum output is 1600 lumens: 800 on spot (level 4), and 800 on flood (level 4). The 1500 will last nearly 3 hours on this setting. One medium setting (level 2 spot, level 2 flood) will give around 24 hours light. Lowest setting (level 1 spot or flood *only*) will give in the region of 106 hours. The Scurion website gives the full matrix of brightness against duration for the 1500; the Dive model is effectively the same. The Dive Scurion has a particularly tightly focussed spot, making it very useful for rigging (both finding it, and creating it) and spotting up avens. It will cut through murky sumps pretty well, and is a pleasure in big, clear continental waters! The flood is like that of the 1500 and is very easy on the eyes while caving in dry passage The Dive has an extra heavy duty alloy battery case, this is opened and closed using an allen key (provided, but standard - spares are easy to come by). It is slower to change batteries than the Basic or 1500, but the -150m rating demands a fool-proof and non-knockable system. To allow for hands made clumsy with cold, the battery system is the chunkier gold-plated contact type used in the Basic. The Dive model comes with one battery. The Dive is available with custom-length cables if you want to avoid helmet mounting, or like your primary light on your wrist. Contact us for details. Cree XM-L LEDs used, the Li-ion cells are Panasonic or similar high quality units. Charger is smart and maximum charging time is 5 hours. Available in various headset colours, but battery case only in black. If you have a strong preference, ask us.
